Facebook is taking the same page they took out of Snapchat’s book for Instagram, and adding a story feature to their platform. Instead of calling it “stories” Facebook has branded it as “Camera” and it’s rolling out to everyone today.
Today, we’re excited to introduce the new Facebook camera. We think it’ll give everyone more ways to express themselves and share what they’re up to. So from now on, you can just let your camera do the talking.
How To Use Facebook Camera
To use the new feature, swipe right on the News Feed or tap the camera icon in the top-left corner of the app.
After you’re done with your story content, you can either post it or share it with friends directly. If you share it directly, the content will appear in the “Direct” part of the Facebook app, which is setup similar to Instagram’s direct messages.
