When I first joined LinkedIn back in 2009 I didn’t really expect it to be an impactful social network for me. Honestly, I just wanted to get a job.
Working as a lease consultant in a telecommunications company for two years had taught me a lot, but it wasn’t where I really wanted to be. I thought LinkedIn would help me find something else.
That was five years ago and LinkedIn was the only real business associated social network. Today, LinkedIn is still the top business-specific social network and now has 300 million registered users. There are no rivals. There are no competitors. So where does LinkedIn go from here?
2014 will mark LinkedIn’s mobile moment, where mobile accounts for more than 50% of all their global traffic. Users from all over the world use LinkedIn on their mobile phones. From Costa Rica to Sweden, Singapore, United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates.
